Proteomics and targeted metabolomics for system biology exploration of peritoneal dialysis effluent
My PhD-project focuses on the analysis of readily available peritoneal dialysis effluent using proteomics and metabolomics technologies, focusing on bioinformatics and -statistics. Utilizing state of the art methods, we hope to unravel the molecular processes during peritoneal dialysis therapy. By taking a systems biology approach, we hope to further develop tools for monitoring and predicting therapy as well as therapeutic interventions to improve treatment outcome for patients.
